I’ve completed the first draft of my debut book!
It’s really a good feeling to have completed something like this after I’ve left so many others only partially done. It is a very good feeling.
So, what’s it about you ask?
I’d classify it as a romance or a slightly erotic romance. That’ll come to a shock to some of you, but sometimes you just have to put something out there and see what happens.
The tentative title is called “LaTonya and Terrell”; it may change by the time it actually gets released. The lead character is LaTonya Washington who has gone back to her hometown from DC for Christmas. While there she runs into Terrell whom she had a crush on since they first met. Circumstances lead to them attempting to hook-up before he heads back to Europe on Christmas Eve; the short time frame and her over-protective grandmother prove to a tough challenge to overcome.
I’m about to dive into edit mode then get it out to a professional editor tomorrow. I follow the Heinlein Rules when it comes to writing, which basically means that you write, finish what you write, only do basic editing, then publish. You won’t see any massive re-writes from me.
The plan is to have it published to Amazon at a minimum by February 1st.
Here we go!
